The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign that kicks off in November, on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and runs until Human Rights Day, which is in early December.
UP for Women & Children
Mission: to provide a healthy, safe environment for homeless women and children that offers opportunities and encouragement for achieving self-sufficiency by providing shelter and resource options.
Community project: collecting and fitting bras for our underprivileged women and children in Louisville and the surrounding areas.
Safe Haven Baby Box Dedication
Located at Okolona Fire Station #1 off Preston Highway, this service allows for women in need to discreetly deliver an infant in a safe and secure manner to a place where it will be immediately discovered and helped.
The box was installed on July 1, 2021 following a Zonta Club of Louisville fundraiser and is the first of its kind in the state of Kentucky.
